The worst performing industries in the market today are:

  • Publishing - Books: This industry slipped 6.5 percent by 11:00 am. The worst stock within the industry was Pearson PLC (ADR) PSO, which fell 7.1 percent. Pearson shares have dropped 35.05 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has gained 11.01 percent in the same period.
  • Housewares & Accessories: This industry declined 1.4 percent by 11:00 am with Clorox Co CLX moving down 1.7 percent. Clorox’s PEG ratio is 3.03.
  • Toy & Hobby Stores: This industry fell 1.3 percent by 11:00 am ET. Build-A-Bear Workshop, Inc BBW shares dropped 1.6 percent in today's trading. Build-A-Bear shares have declined 41.92 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has increased 11.01 percent in the same period.
  • Electronic Equipment: The industry dropped 1.1 percent by 11:00 am. The worst performer in this industry was Energous Corp WATT, which declined 5.2 percent.
