disclosed that it was granted a subcontract of a maximum of $104 million to modernize the ground segment for the Air Force RQ-4 Global Hawk autonomous aircraft in the United States. The company aligns with Northrop Grumman as the ground integrator for Global Hawk contracts. History indicated that both Raytheon and Northrop provided end-to-end Global Hawk solutions. Northrop Grumman constructs the Global Hawk, the U.S. Air Force's high-altitude, long-endurance platform meant to gather different intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, or ISR, data. On the other hand, Raytheon offers modernized ground controls to improve capabilities, safety and cybersecurity of Global Hawk operations around the world. Raytheon's Intelligence, Information and Services VP of Mission Support, Todd Probert, said, "The Raytheon and Northrop Grumman team delivers innovative solutions that help the Air Force develop critical battlefield intelligence capability. We modernize systems with a unique approach that enhances the mission and reduces overall costs." On Monday, RTN traded up by $0.68, or 0.48 percent, to $143.18.
