DuPont Declares 3Q Dividend of $0.38 A Share

disclosed that its board has declared a quarter cash dividend of $0.38 a share for the third quarter. On an annualized basis, the dividend represented $1.52 a share. The company said that the dividend would be paid Sept. 12 to its stockholders, whose name appears on the record book of Aug. 15. The company revealed that the latest dividend is the 448th straight quarterly dividend since its first dividend in the fourth quarter of 1904. However, it has been struggling to boost the dividend rate in the last few years as the average growth rate of the dividend in the three-year period was a minus 1.46 percent. However, the dividend offer 2.2 percent yield, which was lower than the 3.00 percent yield in the five-year period. Du Pont also declared regular quarterly dividends of $1.12-1/2 per share on its $4.50 series preferred stock and $0.87-1/2 cents per share on its $3.50 series preferred stock. Both the dividend would be paid on Oct. 25 to its stockholders of record Oct. 7. The stock managed to gain $0.01 or 0.01 percent at $69.13 on Thursday.
