Tim Duncan Celebrates Retirement Just How Everyone Expected Him To

Future NBA Hall of Famer Tim Duncan just gave Gap Inc GPS's Old Navy the ultimate free endorsement. The recently retired San Antonio Spur -- considered the best power forward of all time -- was seen in line at Old Navy shopping.

Duncan, who earned over $240 million in his NBA career, started off his retirement just as everyone expected him to: shopping at a discount clothing store. Old Navy needs to capitalize and sign him to an endorsement deal. Problem is, Duncan was never really known for his fashion choices.

Known for his fundamental and non-flashy game, Duncan's image is pretty congruent with the types of clothing sold at Old Navy.

He is at least giving a lesson to other NBA players on how to not go broke. It might also be the lessons he learned from one his mentors, another former Spurs Hall of Famer David Robinson, who runs two private equity firms.

Gap closed up 2.49 percent at $25.76 on Tuesday.
