As an avid traveler, it’s hard not to love Airbnb. The site offers short-term accommodation in apartments around the world for a fraction of the price of a hotel room.
Airbnb offers more than two million accommodation options in 191 countries and 34K around the globe. However, the site isn't equally popular in every city. In fact, it seems like the cities with the most expensive traditional accommodation options seem to boast more listings.
In this line, Paris offers the most apartments and rooms, with 78,000 listings. London is the runner-up, with 47,000 listings.

A quick check shows that accommodation for two people in the city of Paris in September goes for an average price of $110 per night. The price in London ascends to about $159. A similar search on Priceline Group Inc PCLN’s booking.com reveals that most hotels in both Paris and London go for more than $110 per night – with a median in the $160 to $220 per nigh range.
