Facebook Now Has 4 Billion-User Products

Facebook Inc FB announced on Wednesday it now boasts four different user products each with 1 billion users. Coincidentally or not, Facebook's stock also hit an all-time high of $121.94.

Facebook said in release that one billion people across the world now use its Messenger on a monthly basis. As such, Messenger is one of only a handful of apps that has such a high user base.

It just so happens that among the select few apps that have one billion users, three others are controlled by Facebook.

As of the end of March of this year, 1.09 billion users log on to Facebook's core social media platform on a daily basis. On a monthly basis, the figure is even more impressive as 1.65 billion users log on to their account.

WhatsApp, the instant messaging platform Facebook acquired for about $20 billion in 2014, surpassed the one billion user mark earlier this year. The company boasted that its user base implies nearly one out of every seven people on Earth use WhatsApp each month.

Finally, Facebook's Groups feature has more than 1 billion users. Groups is Facebook's solution for members to plan activities, collaborate among themselves and share documents. Although, as noted by Bloomberg, some people might not consider Groups to be a separate tool from the core social media platform.
