Barnes & Noble Strikes Exclusive Publishing Alliance Deal With Adaptive Studios

Barnes & Noble, Inc. BKS revealed that it struck an exclusive print partnership with Adaptive Studios. According to the company, through this exclusive alliance, the company is the only retailer to provide a leading selection of titles from Adaptive Books, the publishing imprint of Adaptive Studios. The company added that books would be available both in stores, as well as online.

Barnes & Noble's Chief Merchandising Officer, Mary Amicucci, commented, "We believe that Adaptive Studios offers one of the most innovative and exciting publishing programs we have come across. Our partnership with Adaptive will allow Barnes & Noble customers to experience fabulous, high-concept stories, which represent the best of what the publishing and entertainment worlds have to offer."

Amicucci said the company's work with the alliance partner is an extension of its successful promotion of "From Page to Screen" featuring books, which were adapted into movies. The official added that its ‘From Page to Screen' promotion was one of its highest-selling promotions for readers of all ages.

The company expects that customers would love experiencing Adaptive Studios' reimagined stories from screenplays and scripts in adult and teen books, children's picture books, graphic novels and more.
