Engility Granted $38 Million Contract To Provide NAVAIR Airworthiness Support Services

Engility Holdings, Inc. EGL revealed that the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) Airworthiness and CYBERSAFE Office has granted a $38 million contract to it to provide a variety of technical services supporting aircraft safety-of-flight determinations apart from preparing the resulting flight clearances.

Engility Holdings said its team of skilled professionals would collaborate with the Airworthiness, as well as, CYBERSAFE Office to deliver services and products to NAVAIR and the warfighter. The company added that its team would also conduct research and analysis besides making recommendations in respect of aircraft airworthiness.

The company would also convert Navy flight and technical information manuals to a digital format to make them fully accessible on electronic, as well as, mobile devices. This program also creates the policies and criteria for certifying aircraft and weapons systems for their cybersecurity posture. For its part, Engility will provide the engineering support to perform these services.

The company's CEO, Lynn Dugle, said, "This new work builds upon Engility's long-standing system engineering support to NAVAIR. We are proud to be selected to help develop the next generation of digital management solutions which will accelerate the delivery of flight safety documents to the Fleet."

The stock traded 1.23 percent higher on Thursday.
