L Brands June Comparable Sales Increase 6%

L Brands, Inc.

reported that its comparable sales for the five-week period ended July 2 witnessed a growth of 6 percent. Its net sales also grew 7 percent to $1.296 billion for the same five-week period. For the year-to-date period, L Brands said that it recorded net sales of $4.727 billion for the 22 weeks ended July 2. That suggested a growth of five percent from $4.518 billion for the 22 weeks ended July 4 in the previous year period. Its comparable sales for the same period also increased 3 percent. Following the news, the stock traded 2.23 percent higher in the pre-market trading on Thursday.
