Verizon Communications Inc. VZ and Samsung Electronics America, Inc's Networking Division launched a new 4G LTE Network Extender. The objective is to improve wireless voice communications, as well as, deliver robust data coverage for residential and business locations.

Verizon said that adding to the current 4G LTE Network Extender for Enterprise, the device expands its 4G LTE in-building coverage solution portfolio. That included small business locations, homes, restaurants, smaller public safety offices and branch office locations.

The telecom service provider's customer team VP and GM, Magnus Ojert, commented, "Whether at home or at the office, more people are demanding high-quality, uninterrupted mobile communications – which includes streaming content and high-bandwidth mobile applications for accessing content on the go."

Verizon said the 4G LTE Network Extender featured Samsung's innovative small cell technology enabling its subscribers to make HD Voice and Video calls. Also, it allows them access mobile data, and stream content from in-building locations where existing cellular coverage may not adequately reach.
