Moneygram Reaches A Fresh Milestone Of Connecting Over 2 Billion Accounts

MoneyGram International Inc. MGI disclosed it reached a fresh milestone in its objective to make money transfers easier for millions of customers throughout the world. According to the company, its customers could now send money quickly, as well as reliably to over two billion bank, mobile or virtual accounts in 27 nations through its account deposit network.

Recently, MoneyGram expanded its account deposit offerings to the United Kingdom, Romania, Morocco, Spain, Italy and Germany. The company indicated that it was also linked to bank accounts in the five biggest remittance markets in the world, Nigeria, China, India, Mexico and the Philippines.

The company's head of global product, Alex Hoffmann, said, "MoneyGram is a leader in emerging channels. Our successful expansion into more than 2 billion accounts around the world is a testament to our commitment to providing our customers with a seamless omni-channel experience through our innovative technology."

The company quoted the World Bank and said that digital transaction platforms were driving financial inclusion in emerging markets around the globe. MoneyGram intends to continue to leverage these platforms to expand its reach, as well as further its goal of making money transfers easier for customers who rely on its innovative solutions to meet their financial needs.
