disclosed that it was one of eight companies that were awarded an engineering services contract for the Advanced Technology Support Program IV (ATSP4). According to the company, the indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity, multiple award contracts has a total potential value of $7.2 billion and would be carried out in the next ten years. Northrop Grumman said that the ATSP4 program was contracted by the Defense Microelectronics Activity (DMEA) in McClellan, California and was meant to allow quick react contracting to facilitate technology transformation in Department of Defense systems. The company indicated that it has been getting contracts for previous iterations of this program since 1999. The company's VP for program management, Howard Lurie, said, "We are proud to receive the Advanced Technology Support Program IV contract and continue our strong relationship with DMEA. The ability to streamline the contracting approach and provide rapid access to Northrop Grumman's advanced technologies and engineering services are of great value to our customers." Northrop Grumman said that under the contract, it might undertake tasks ranging from trade studies, technology development and upgrades, to developing advanced technology solutions for new and existing DOD weapon systems. The company said that other capabilities included in the contract were design, fabrication, assembly, testing, integration, prototyping and limited systems production. The stock traded 0.01 percent on Monday.
