TD Ameritrade Reports 3% Growth In Average Client Trades Per Day In April

TD Ameritrade Holding Corporation AMTD revealed that an average of 470,000 client trades per day was witnessed in April. That represented 3 percent year-over-year growth from April 2015 and 2 percent from March current year.

According to the company, its total client assets were $719.0 billion as of April 30. This was 2 percent higher than the previous year month and 1 percent up from March. Its average spread-based balances of $106.2 billion were up 12 percent over April 2015 and essentially flat compared to March.

Similarly, TD Ameritrade's average fee-based balances were $161.6 billion at the end of April representing 1 percent increase from the preceding year month and up 3 percent sequentially.

Shares of the company closed at $28.48 on Monday.
