Blackstone Names Daniel Heintzelman As Senior Advisor

Blackstone BX revealed the appointment of Daniel C. Heintzelman as its Senior Advisor to the firm. According to the company, he would be offering tactical, as well as operational counsel on the aerospace and industrials sectors.

Blackstone said that Heintzelman would also serve as the Chairman of its private equity portfolio company, MB Aerospace, which was a leading Tier I engine component manufacturer and repair business.

The company's Global Head Of Private Equity, Joe Baratta, commented about the appointment as, "Dan brings with him a powerful knowledge base and network of relationships in aerospace and a number of other industrial businesses, cultivated over his nearly 40 year career in the space. Dan's experience will be invaluable as we continue to see expanding opportunities in these sectors, and we are thrilled to welcome him to the team."

Reacting to the appointment, Heintzelman said, "I'm pleased to be joining the impressive team at Blackstone. I look forward to working closely with Blackstone to both explore investment opportunities and provide strategic and operational support to existing portfolio companies."

Blackstone said that the new appointee carried with him three and half decades of the industry experience. Most recently, he was with GE's industrial businesses to strengthen its services, advanced manufacturing and product development capabilities.
