Heritage Financial Corporation HFWA unit Heritage Bank disclosed that it hired Thomas Henning as its EVP and Chief Risk Officer. Henning would report to President and Chief Operating Officer, Jeffrey Deuel, and his range of responsibilities would include audit and risk management.
Deuel said, "As we grow our organization, we are pleased to have Tom joining our executive leadership team in this newly created role of Chief Risk Officer. He brings extensive experience that will support our strategic focus as we continuously improve our audit and risk oversight."
Heritage said Henning served as the SVP of Enterprise Risk Management and Regulatory Relations for a Florida-based regional banking organization for six years before joining the firm. Before that he held a variety of leadership positions in audit and risk management for a local national thrift institution based in Seattle for 18 years.
Shares of the company traded flat at $18.45 on Monday.
