Cadence Design Completes Rocketick Technologies Acquisition

revealed that it completed the acquisition of the Israel-based Rocketick Technologies, Ltd., a pioneer and leading provider of multicore parallel simulation. According to the company, the completion of the transaction strengthens its System Design Enablement strategy by delivering ultra-high-performance simulation to accelerate the development of complete systems with the end-product in mind. Cadence Design said that Rocketick's technology quickens its Cadence Incisive® Enterprise Simulator to offer a maximum of 6X speed-up for register-transfer-level (RTL), maximum of 10X speed-up for gate-level functional and a maximum of 30X speed-up for gate-level DFT simulations using standard multicore servers. The company added that the Rocketick technology was a proven one and in use currently by marquee systems, as well as, semiconductor companies in the mobile, server, and graphics domains. The company stated that Rocketick team would join the System & Verification Group, adding significant parallel simulation expertise. The company indicated that the transaction was not expected to have any material impact on its fiscal 2016 results of operations. On Thursday, shares of the company traded 0.25%.
