Dick's Sport Goods Reveals Improved Consumer Credit Card Program

DICK'S Sporting Goods Inc DKS revealed it relaunched its Rewards of Sport Credit Cards, issued by Synchrony Bank. The company indicated it would continue to offer two cards under the Rewards of Sport Credit Card program.

According to the company, the Rewards of Sport Credit Card was a private label, which could be used on purchases from all DICK's Sporting Goods, Field & Stream and Golf Galaxy locations. At the same time, the Rewards of Sport Master Card could be used at all the same locations apart from the places MasterCard was accepted.

DICK's said the credit card program would offer consumers a number of new gains including earning 10 percent back in Rewards on their in-store purchases the day they open their account. The company added that cardholders would get an option to select financing on in-store purchases from time to time.

The company indicated Cardholders would continue to get upgraded ScoreCard Rewards benefits like 6% back in Rewards on every day in-store purchases and 1 percent back in Rewards on purchases anywhere else MasterCard is accepted.

Shares of the company traded down 0.7 percent on Monday.
