NBC's

crime drama "Aquarius" made headlines last year when it became the first network series to debut online prior to its linear run. While the network was able to spin the numbers, the results were not entirely encouraging to investors. This year NBC has revealed it is looking to change that strategy but will still kick things off with a stunt. The drama will now bow with a two-hour premiere that will run non-stop without commercial breaks. The lone exception will be a one-minute local news break during its second half. David Duchovny headlines the series that looks at the investigation into the Manson family during the 1960's. It will return on June 16th at 9pm EST before moving to its 10pm EST home the following week. All of the episodes will air in the traditional one week at a time pattern. NBC, as well as its rivals, has been experimenting with new approaches all season long including a not-so-successful move to "live" programming. The network's summer schedule will also include a number of reality series including staples "America's Got Talent" and "American Ninja Warrior."
