ABC Makes Reality Push With Summer Schedule

Usually NBC is the one of out of the big four to go reality-heavy during its summer season, but this year ABC

is going to give the Peacock a run for its money. ABC has revealed its summer schedule and the bulk of its inhabitants are of the non-scripted variety. In addition, to returning series "500 Questions," "Battlebots," "Celebrity Family Feud" and "Bachelor In Paradise," the network is added reboots of game shows "The $100,000 Pyramid" and "To Tell The Truth." New ABC go-to star Michael Strahan will emcee the newest "Pyramid" iteration while "Black-ish" star Anthony Anderson will helm the updated "Truth." The series came as a direct result of the success of last year's Steve Harvey hosted prime0time return of "Family Feud," which boosted the net's ratings. Both investors and analysts understand not just the value of these brands but the appeal of the performers hosting them. The lone scripted entries will be the returning summer staple "Mistresses" and the debut of hold-over "Uncle Buck," which was supposed to get a earlier mid-season slot. The second season of "Secrets and Lies" will remain on the bench with an eye on a fall or winter debut.
