Tenet Healthcare Hires Robert Webb As SVP And Chief Human Resources Officer

revealed that it hired Robert Webb as its SVP and Chief Human Resources Officer effective May 16. According to the company, he would be responsible for its people strategy and would head its HR functions. That included Labor Relations, Talent, Culture & Performance Systems, HR Services, Compensation, and Benefits & Corporate HR apart from Hospital Operations HR. Tenet Healthcare said that the incumbent would report to the chairman and CEO, Trevor Fetter. Incidentally, Fetter said that "I am pleased to have Robb filling this crucial role for our company. His breadth of human resources leadership experience made him the ideal candidate to lead Tenet's enterprise-wide human resources services." He said further that "Healthcare consists of talented and compassionate people providing care to others. As one of America's largest healthcare organizations and one of the country's largest employers, it is crucial for us to maintain a strong culture, attract and retain the best people, and inspire them to do great work. For those reasons, the Human Resources function in our company is critically important." For his part, Mr. Webb commented, "I look forward to joining Tenet and working with the leadership team to continue to enhance Tenet's strong culture among its 130,000 employees." He succeeds Cathy Fraser, who left the company earlier this year to join the Mayo Clinic. On Thursday, shares of the company traded 0.5% higher.
