disclosed that it unveiled a new software to help researchers analyze qualitative metabolic flux that track the different pathways. The company indicated that the analytical capability was of particular interest to cancer researchers as they were eager to understand the metabolic pathways in respect of cancer cells better. Agilent Technologies launched VistaFlux at the annual meeting of the American Association for Cancer Research in New Orleans. The company's VP and GM OF Mass Spectrometry Division, Monty Benefiel, said that "MassHunte VistaFlux speeds up clinical research data analysis so scientists can quickly understand the underlying cause of diseases, such as cancer." The company's VP also said that "VistaFlux enables cutting-edge, targeted, isotopologue data extraction and pathway visualization of flux results for greater biological understanding. It will enable multidisciplinary research teams to quickly mine and interpret the data they collect from targeted qualitative flux experiments." Agilent said that With VistaFlux software, researchers would be able to analyze easily data from targeted metabolic flux experiments. On Monday, shares of the company traded up by 1.1%.
