Orbita ATK Gets Contract To Supply Non-Standard Ammunition To Defence

disclosed that it was granted an indefinite Deliver Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract by the American government to supply non-standard ammunition and mortar weapons systems to the Defence in support of its global allies. The company claimed that its selection to the NSA program demonstrated its expertise in program, technical and supply chain management apart from being complemented by a global team of proven suppliers. Orbital ATK revealed that it got orders worth about $300 million under its previous three-year NSA IDIQ contract that expired last year. The company indicated that it was a leading supplier to the NSA program since its inception in 2008, providing 600 million units of NSA products to our country's allies. The company indicated that the new contract came with an initial award of about $20 million. The company's VP and GM of Small Caliber Systems division, Kent Holiday, stated that "Orbital ATK is pleased to continue providing non-standard ammunition to the United States Army for use in strategic geographic theaters throughout the world. The strength of our team is our worldwide supply chain that provides affordable, high-quality ammunition to our allies." Shares of the company traded down by 0.6%.
