Shaw Communications' Subsidiary Selected By Ogden Clinic For Its Hybrid IT Solutions

Shaw Communications Inc (USA) SJR said its subsidiary, ViaWest has been selected by Ogden Clinic as its Hybrid IT solutions provider. ViaWest datacenters offer the physician-owned, multispecialty group practice by focusing on technical resources on growth by leveraging its security, reliability and scalability, according to the company.

Shaw Communications' ViaWest Regional VP of Sales, Alex Gerrard, commented "Ogden Clinic's IT infrastructure plays a crucial role in its ability to maintain a strong reputation as Northern Utah's largest and most respected ambulatory medical care group, and we are honored that they selected us as their trusted partner to help."

He said, "By taking advantage of our secure datacenters with 100 percent uptime and HIPAA compliance expertise, Ogden Clinic has more resources to grow its practice and serve more of the Utah community."

Similarly, Ogden Clinic Director of Information Technology, Brett Colvin, said, "Ogden Clinic differentiates itself in an increasingly competitive market through quality care and exceptional providers. IT needs to ensure that our systems are highly available, redundant for business continuity reasons, and secure in order to adhere to HIPAA regulations."

Shares of Shaw Communications traded down by 0.7 percent on Wednesday.
