Chemours Commences Registered Exchange Offer

The Chemours Company CC said it has started a registered exchange offer to exchange its 6.625 percent Senior Notes due 2023 and 7.0 percent Senior Notes due 2025. According to the company, the total principal amount lying with it was $1.35 billion and $750 million, respectively.

The Chemours Company indicated about other Senior Notes eligible for the registered exchange offer like 6.125 percent Senior Notes due 2023. The company is making the exchange offer to satisfy its obligations under a registration rights agreement struck with the Original Notes.

The company clarified that any Original Notes not tendered for exchange in the Exchange Offer would remain as outstanding and continued to accrue interest. Chemours said it would not have any further obligation to offer the registration of such notes under the Securities Act.

The Chemours Company said the exchange offer would expire on May 13 unless extended by the company.

Shares of the company closed 3.33 percent higher on Tuesday.
