Limelight Networks Signs A Deal With Rhapsody Extending 15-Year Alliance

disclosed, in a statement to the media, that it struck a deal with Rhapsody extending the existing 15-year alliance. According to the company, Rhapsody would leverage the former's Orchestrate Delivery, as well as, Storage services to continue delivering songs to its 3.5 million customers throughout the world. Limelight Networks' Chief Sales Officer, George Vonderhaar, said: "We are proud that over the many years, Limelight's investments in our infrastructure, capabilities and global expansion have continued to support Rhapsody's growth and the customer experience for millions of their subscribers. We look forward to continuing to work together to ensure their music is flawlessly delivered, resulting in an excellent listening experience for their customers." Similarly, Rhapsody's Director for business solutions management, Paul Vandegrift, commented, "The team at Limelight has genuine interest in helping Rhapsody enhance its service, and is always willing to work with us on innovative solutions". He added, "We've had a long and very positive relationship with Limelight. They are easy to work with and always responsive. We look forward to continuing our relationship and working together in the future." On Tuesday, shares of the company traded flat at $1.63.
