Sling TV, a unit of DISH Network Corp DISH, saw viewership increase of about 350 percent during the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) game of the University of Arkansas – Little Rock upsetting Purdue.
"We saw record numbers of you flock to our service to watch the tournament's first buzzer beater, a number of upsets and, of course, the double overtime thriller," Sling said in a blog post.
Sling said peak viewership was 36 percent higher when lower seeded teams beat higher seeds and Thursday's viewership was 256 percent higher than non-tournament days in March.
Sling TV, which was officially launched on February 9, 2015, has approximately 600,000 subscribers as of February 2016.
