announced Friday, that it has agreed to acquire news distribution service provider Marketwired. Terms were not disclosed. The deal is expected to close in Q1 of 2016. Nasdaq closed at $61.31 on Friday, up 2.23%.

Intercept Pharmaceuticals Inc

is said to be exploring a potential sale, according to sources reported by

on Friday. The biotech company is working with investment bankers to assist in the review process, the sources said. Intercept declined comment on the report. Intercept Pharmaceuticals closed at $120.22 on Friday, up 27.50%.

Alon Blue Square Israel Ltd.

announced Friday, it has been notified of the receipt of updated offers from Moti Ben-Moshe and Gindi Israel 2010 Ltd. for the acquisition of control of the company. Both offers provide for the acquisition of approximately 72.71% direct and indirect interest in the company held by Alon Israel Oil Company Ltd. for NIS 115 million, plus receipt of all rights derived from an approximately NIS 110 million loan that Alon Oil granted to the company. The offers are subject to apprival by Alon and the company's creditors. Alon Blue Square closed at $3.52 on Friday, up 6.67%.
