Abbott

and Alere Inc.

announced Monday, an definitive agreement for Abbott to acquire Alere for $56 per share in cash, for a total expected equity value of $5.8 billion. The transaction has been approved by the boards of directors of Alere and Abbott, and is subject to the approval of Alere shareholders and regulatory approvals. Alere closed at $99.17 on Monday, up $0.02.

Dominion Resources, Inc.

and Questar Corporation

announced Monday, an agreement under which Dominion has agreed to acquire Questar for $25 per share in cash, or about $4.4 billion. Dominion will assume Questar's outstanding debt. The deal is expected to close by the end of 2016. Questar closed at $24.99 on Monday, up 22.56%.

Ku6 Media Co., Ltd.

, announced that its Board has received a preliminary non-binding proposal letter dated February 1, 2016 from Shanda Interactive Entertainment Limited to acquire the Company in a "going private" transaction for $1.08 per ADS. The Board is reviewing and evaluating the offer and is expected to form a special committee. Ku6 Media closed at $0.86 on Monday up 22.86%.

Sinovac Biotech Ltd.

announced Monday, that its Board has received a preliminary non-binding proposal letter, dated January 30, 2016, from chairman, president and CEO Weidong Yin and SAIF Partners IV L.P. and/or its affiliates, to acquire all of the for $6.18 in cash per common share. The Board has formed a special committee to consider the proposal. Sinovac closed at $5.80 on Monday, up 15.54%.

Avalanche Biotechnologies, Inc.

and Annapurna Therapeutics SAS announced Monday, that they have agreed Avalanche will acquiref all outstanding shares of Annapurna in exchange for approximately 17.6 million newly issued shares of Avalanche common stock. The deal is expected to close in Q2 of 2016. Avalanche Biotechnologies closed at $5.22 on Monday, down 13%.

Stryker Corporation

announced Monday, an agreement to acquire Sage Products from Madison Dearborn Partners for $2.775 billion in cash. The transaction is expected to close in Q2 of 2016. Stryker closed at $99.17 on Monday, up $0.02.

CalAmp

and LoJack Corporation

announced Monday, that CalAmp will acquire all of the outstanding shares of common stock of LoJack for $6.45 per share in cash, in a deal valued at approximately $134 million. The transaction is expected to close during CalAmp's FY 2017 Q1. Lojack closed at $5.36 on Monday, and traded at $6.34 after-hours.
