Hain Celestial's Q2, FY16 Guidance Comes In Below The Street

Ahead of a presentation at the highly-anticipated ICR Conference on Tuesday, Hain Celestial Group Inc HAIN gave some worse-than-expected guidance.

The company is modeling for second-quarter sales in the range of $740 million to $760 million on earnings of $0.53-$0.56 per share. Analysts on Wall Street expect quarterly sales of around $767 million on EPS of $0.57.

Hain gave a look into 2016 results, setting an expectation for total sales of $2.9 billion to $3.04 billion, versus the sell-side estimate of $2.98 billion. EPS are expected in the range of $1.95-$2.10 vs. a $2.14 analyst estimate.

Shares of Hain Celestial were relatively quiet in Monday's post-market session. After the stock closed down about 0.4 percent to $36.42, shares were last indicated around $36 even.
