Royal Gold Issues Second Quarter Update, Sold 61,500 Ounces Of Gold At An Average Price Of $1,094 Per Ounce

Royal Gold, Inc RGLD provided an update on its second quarter fiscal 2016 stream sales after Wednesday's market close.

Royal Gold is a precious metals royalty and stream company engaged in the acquisition and management of precious metal royalties, stream and similar production based interests.

Royal Gold said that its fully owned subsidiary, RGLD Gold AG, sold around 61,500 ounces of gold at average cost of $1,094 per ounce during the second quarter. The company added that it held approximately 27,500 ounces of gold in its inventory at the end of 2015.

Royal Gold also noted that its average cost of sales for the second quarter was approximately $370 per stream ounce.

Finally, Royal Gold announced it will report its second quarter results before the market opens for trading on Thursday, February 4, 2016.

Shares of Royal Gold have lost more than 42 percent over the past year. The stock was up more than 2 percent Thursday morning.
