The pending home sales index slipped 0.9 percent in November, versus economists' expectations for a 0.5 percent growth. U.S. crude inventories climbed by 2.63 million barrels in the week ended December 25, the Energy Information Administration reported. However, analysts were expecting a drop of 2.46 million barrels.
