In commodity news, oil traded up 1.49 percent to $42.33, while gold traded up 0.23 percent to $1,058.60. Silver traded up 0.30 percent Monday to $14.09, while copper rose 0.19 percent to $2.06.
Eurozone
European shares were higher today. The eurozone's STOXX 600 rose 0.45 percent, the Spanish Ibex Index gained 0.59 percent, while Italy's FTSE MIB Index surged 0.65 percent.
