Ericsson to Acquire Software Developer Ericpol; Terms Not Disclosed

has concluded a preliminary share purchase agreement for the acquisition of Ericpol's operations in Poland and Ukraine. Ericpol is a software development company within telecommunications and has been a supplier to Ericsson for over 20 years. Ericsson has been its largest customer by far. In the transformative industry that Ericsson operates in, an opportunity has opened for Ericsson to secure key competence with a deep knowledge about Ericsson built up after many years of collaboration through this acquisition. Approximately 2,000 employees will join Ericsson. The acquisition is expected to take place during the first quarter of 2016, pending, among other things, customary regulatory approvals.
