today announced that IPLAN, an Argentinian service provider, selected CounterPath's Bria softphones and Stretto Platform for use in its Unified Communications service."We are excited to partner with IPLAN, an innovative service provider based in Buenos Aires, Argentina," said Todd Carothers, EVP of Marketing and Products at CounterPath. According to government data, the Argentine telecom industry generated nearly $18 billion of revenue in 2013. Argentina privatized and deregulated its telecom industry in the late 1990s, and now supports a diverse ecosystem of service providers offering low-cost alternative service providers that compete with the incumbents by offering innovative services and competitive prices.
