Costco Posts Rise In Fiscal 2015 Sales

Its total sales for the year surged to $113.7 billion, compared to $110.2 billion in the prior year. Costco's August sales gained 5 percent, excluding the negative impacts from gasoline price deflation and foreign exchange. Total sales dropped to $8.7 billion in August, versus $8.8 billion a year ago. For the fourth quarter, its total sales gained to $35.0 billion from $34.8 billion. Costco shares gained 1.53 percent to close at $140.42 yesterday.
