, a leading National Security Solutions provider, announced today that PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia, Tbk. (TELKOM), the largest telecommunications services company in Indonesia, has selected Kratos' satID® geolocation system as part of a contract with Kratos ISI to upgrade TELKOM's Master Control Station (MCS). The geolocation system will support TELKOM's existing Telkom-1 and Telkom-2 satellites as well as its Telkom-3S satellite, which is scheduled for a late 2016 launch. An industry-leading RF interference geolocation product, satID provides an accurate, fast, all-in-one solution for locating and identifying sources of interference due to equipment failure, operator error, intentional jamming, or unauthorized users and represents a significant upgrade to TELKOM's existing geolocation capability. Its map-driven user interface allows operators to identify and overlay satellite and signal information, spectrum analyzer displays and other necessary elements to perform geolocation within the map-based environment. "We appreciate the trust that TELKOM continues to show in Kratos' products. satID features such as scenario templates, higher levels of automation, improved reporting capability and integrated operator notebooks not only improve the efficiency and return from the system but can represent significant financial savings to the organization. Kratos continues to accelerate the development of more advanced technologies aimed at increasing accuracy and the number of scenarios in which geolocation is possible," said Dr. Rob Rideout, Kratos' satID Product Manager. "TELKOM had a good experience with Kratos ISI on the satellite Backup Control Station (BCS) project. TELKOM is now proceeding with the upgrade of the Master Control Station (MCS) to have the same capability as the BCS, where the Kratos solution allows us to consolidate our satellite operations on a single centralized platform and optimize the efficiency of our satellite operations. These upgrades will ensure that the TELKOM MCS has a state-of-the-art satellite control system as well as the capability to localize various types of satellite interferers that may impact TELKOM's customers' carriers. We expect our continued cooperation with Kratos ISI will benefit both parties," said Ricky Kusnandar, TELKOM's Satellite Ground Control System Manager. The MCS contract includes an EPOCH IPS® command and control system augmentation and an RF system upgrade. EPOCH IPS is an all-in-one satellite fleet management system with the ability to simultaneously control multiple satellites from different manufacturers with a single consolidated system. For more than 30 years, Kratos ISI has been the leading provider of satellite control systems, supporting more than 300 missions with successful installations on five continents. Kratos ISI offers turnkey ground segment solutions encompassing C2, RF/IF equipment, satellite and terrestrial communications signal monitoring and geolocation systems, equipment and network management and payload management solutions.
