US Stock Futures Up; All Eyes On Fed Decision

US stock futures traded higher in early pre-market trade. The FOMC will announce its policy decision at 2:00 p.m. ET, while the Fed Chairwoman Janet Yellen will hold a press conference at 2:30 p.m. ET. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 32.50 points to 17,858.50, while the Standard & Poor's 500 index futures rose 3.05 points to 2,092.05. Futures for the Nasdaq 100 index gained 3.05 points to 4,454.80.
A Peek Into Global Markets
European markets were lower today, with the Spanish Ibex Index falling 0.24 percent, STOXX Europe 600 Index declining 0.31 percent and German DAX 30 index dropping 0.24 percent. French CAC 40 Index slipped 0.75 percent and London's FTSE 100 Index fell 0.49 percent. In Asian markets, Japan's Nikkei Stock Average fell 0.19 percent, China's Shanghai Composite Index climbed 1.65 percent, Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index gained 0.70 percent and India's BSE Sensex rose 0.55 percent.
