MaxLinear, PowerSecure, Alaska Air Lead After-Hours Movers To Close The Week

MaxLinear, Inc. MXL jumped 9.7 percent after the bell Friday to $11.74 on news that Soros Fund acquired a 5.19 percent stake in the provider of radio-frequency chips as a passive investment.

PowerSecure International, Inc. POWR rose about 4 percent to $15.81 in late trading Friday. The Wake Forest, North Carolina-based provider of products and services to electric utilities didn't issue news Friday.

KemPharm Inc KMPH gained nearly 3 percent to $14.66 without an obvious catalyst.

Supernus Pharmaceuticals Inc SUPN rose 2.4 percent to $15.80. At Friday's close, the shares were up more than 5 percent. S&P Dow Jones Indices said Thursday that Supernus will join the S&P SmallCap 600 after the close of trading June 10.

Dicerna Pharmaceuticals Inc DRNA ticked up 1.7 percent to $15.38 after the bell. The stock closed down Friday nearly 7 percent. On Monday, the company posted preliminary data on a cancer drug.

CareDx Inc CDNA dipped about 3 percent to $3.69 after the bell. The company, which makes diagnostic surveillance products for heart transplant patients closed up nearly 6 percent earlier and didn't issue news Friday.

Anthera Pharmaceuticals Inc ANTH ticked down 2.5 percent in late trading Friday. The company's shares had closed up about 14 percent earlier on positive news about its lupus treatment.
