Shares of Tesla Motors, Inc.

rose Thursday on unconfirmed market chatter of a potential bid from Google Inc.

, according to sources. The offer is rumored to be in the range of $280 to $300 per share. Global Equities Research analyst Trip Chowdhry told Benzinga he didn't think such a deal was possible, though a strong partnership was more likely and already exists. Spokespersons for Google and Tesla did not respond to requests for comment. Tesla shares rose 1.5% Thursday, to close at $251.70.

Avago Technologies Limited

and Broadcom Corporation

announced Thursday, that Avago will acquire Broadcom for $17 billion in cash consideration and the economic equivalent of approximately 140 million Avago ordinary shares, valued at $20 billion as of May 27, 2015. Broadcom shareholders will have the ability to elect to receive, for each Broadcom share held: (i) $54.50 in cash; (ii) 0.4378 ordinary shares in a newly-formed Singapore holding company; (iii) a restricted equity security that is the economic equivalent of 0.4378 ordinary shares of HoldCo that will not be transferable or saleable for a period of one to two years after closing; or (iv) a combination thereof. The deal is expected to close by the end of Q1 of 2016. Broadcom shares fell 1.78% Thursday, closing at $56.14. Avago shares rose $0.89 to close at $142.38.

Shares of 3D Systems Corporation

rose Thursday on unconfirmed market chatter the company had hired Goldman Sachs in order to assist in handling a potential offer from General Electric Company

. The rumored offer is $30 to $34 per share, according to sources. Spokespersons for 3D and GE were unavailable for comment. 3D Systems shares rose 4.77% Thursday, closing at $22.42.

Skechers USA Inc.

shares rose 3% Thursday, following unconfirmed market chatter of a potential bid from Nike, Inc.

. Analysts from several firms, including Wunderlich seemed to dismiss the rumor. Spokespersons for Nike and Skechers did not respond to requests for comment. Skechers shares rose $3.01, closing at $106.86, while Nike shares fell $0.26, to close at $102.30.

Twitter, Inc.

CEO Dick Costolo,

in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA, said he is not shopping his company around. Rumors of potential buyers have been rampant for years, along with rumors that Costolo would be ousted as CEO. Costolo stated "We have every intention of being an independent company. Those things you read about in the press are simply rumors, not facts." Twitter shares rose $0.42 Thursday, closing at $36.83.

Shares of Syngenta AG

spiked sharply higher on Thursday, following a

report that the Swiss agrochemical manufacturer was preparing for a potentially higher offer from Monsanto Co.

. Syngenta rejected a CHF449 bid from Monsanto on May 8. Syngenta reportedly added UBS as an advisor in preparation for a new Monsanto bid. One source said that Syngenta may consider an offer of CHF500, which calculates to about $110 per share for US-traded shares. Syngenta shares rose 2.5% Thursday, closing at $92.95. Monsanto shares rose as high as $120, closing at $118.60.
