Red River Awarded $200M Social Security Administration Cisco Systems Blanket Purchase Agreement

Red River, a leading federal information technology (IT) services provider, today announced that it has been awarded a Cisco Systems Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) by the Social Security Administration (SSA). The SSA Cisco BPA is a single award five (5) year indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contract with an estimated value of $200 million. Under the new contract vehicle, Red River will provide Cisco infrastructure, networking and support services for 65,000 SSA employees working in over 1,500 offices worldwide. "Red River will utilize its proven expertise and longstanding Cisco partnership to deliver the highest levels of service to the Social Security Administration through this contract in order to meet the changing needs of their employees and the public it serves," said Jeff Sessions, Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy at Red River. The SSA Cisco BPA was initiated by the SSA's Office of Telecommunications and Systems Operations (OTSO) and is designed to facilitate network connectivity and functionality for the SSA. Through the acquisition and implementation of Cisco hardware, software and associated maintenance, support and warranty services, Red River will assist in the SSA's delivery of a broad range of services online and through a nationwide network of offices that include regional, field, card centers, tele-service centers, processing centers, hearing offices, the Appeals Council and the Disability Determination Services. All of these SSA offices rely on local area and wide area (LAN/WAN) data networks comprised of Cisco technology and protocols, which Red River is skilled at designing and supporting. A longstanding Cisco Gold Certified Partner, with the broadest range of expertise in advanced Cisco technologies, Red River is uniquely qualified for this contract as one of the few partners who hold both the Cisco Master Collaboration and Master Security Specializations in the Federal space and the first Federal Partner to achieve the Cisco Advanced Internet of Things (IoT) Connected Safety and Security Specialization. Red River also possesses other key Cisco technical certifications, such as Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert (CCIE) and Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), and is ISO 9001 certified. The new SSA Cisco BPA is one of several Cisco-specific contracts that Red River holds, including the Veterans Administration Cisco Enterprise SMARTnet contract valued at $250M. The new SSA Cisco BPA further expands Red River's growing list of federal contracts, which include CIO-CS, NASA SEWP V, GSA Federal Supply Schedule, Veterans Affairs CEC, DHS FirstSource II, Air Force NETCENTS-2 and multiple agency-specific blanket purchase agreements.
