With earnings season in full force, investors should be aware of two major conference happening next week.
SALT Conference: Hedge Fund Managers, Military Leaders Collide
The
SALT Conference
is "committed to facilitating balanced discussions and debates on macro-economic trends, geo-political events and investment opportunities within the context of a dynamic global economy." In its seventh year, the SALT Conference will begin on Tuesday in Las Vegas and last four days. Of note, Steve Forbes, Mohamed El-Erian, former Prime Minister of Greece George Papandreou are scheduled to speak on Wednesday. Other notable speakers from the economic and financial sectors include Dr. Ben Bernanke, Daniel Loeb, John Paulson, T. Boone Pickens, Lawrence Summers and Kyle Bass. Political and military-related speakers include General Keith B. Alexander (formerly of U.S. Cyber Command and Director of National Security Agency), former CIA Director General David Petraeus and former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. here. Sohn Investment Conference: Big Names Attracted The annual Sohn Conference will take place on Monday, with the expected slate of big-names discussing their favorite stock picks and ideas. David Einhorn will take the podium at 12:05, followed by Barry Rosenstein, Keith Meister, Jay Walker and Leon Cooperman. The event is scheduled to end at 5:35 the same day.
