Shares of Digital Ally, Inc. DGLY were up more than 10 percent on Thursday afternoon. The rally came after the company posted a tweet on its @DigitalAllyInc Twitter Inc TWTR account that reads:
“We've got a BIG #announcement! We'll be live-streaming our announcement on #Periscope tomorrow morning at 10am CST!”
Periscope is Twitter's new live-streaming app.
Shares of Digital Ally are still down more than 10 percent year-to-date. However, it should be highlighted that the stock is trading at more than double the price it traded one year ago.

The recent success that shares of Digital Ally have experienced respond to the increasing concerns about personal safety and security. CEO Stanton E. Ross recently said they “have seen a large increase in inquiries, requests for test and evaluation units and pilot programs being conducted by police departments since the events in Ferguson last August.”
Shares traded recently at $13.51, up 8 percent.
