The results will be presented by Samuel A. Frank, M.D., associate professor of neurology, Boston University School of Medicine and principal investigator for the study, known as First-HD. Washington Convention Center, Washington, DC First-HD is a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel-group trial of Austedo in 90 individuals with chorea associated with Huntington's disease. The 12-week trial was designed to evaluate and generate label information for the safety, tolerability and efficacy of Austedo for potentially treating chorea associated with Huntington's disease. The company is on track to submit a New Drug Application (NDA) with the FDA by mid-2015.
