, a late-clinical stage biopharmaceutical company dedicated to developing innovative medicines for people with movement disorders and other rare diseases, today announced that data from the completed Phase 3 registration clinical trial evaluating the company's investigational new drug SD-809 (AustedoTM) in chorea associated with Huntington's disease has been accepted for presentation at the 67th American Academy of Neurology (AAN) Annual Meeting taking place April 18-25, 2015 in Washington, DC. The results will be presented by Samuel A. Frank, M.D., associate professor of neurology, Boston University School of Medicine and principal investigator for the study, known as First-HD. Following are details about the presentation: Title: First Time Use of SD-809 in Huntington Disease (First-HD) Session Name: Emerging Science Session Date and Time: April 22, 2015, 6:15 PM - 7:45 PM Location: Walter E. Washington Convention Center, Washington, DC First-HD is a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel-group trial of Austedo in 90 individuals with chorea associated with Huntington's disease. The 12-week trial was designed to evaluate and generate label information for the safety, tolerability and efficacy of Austedo for potentially treating chorea associated with Huntington's disease. The company is on track to submit a New Drug Application (NDA) with the FDA by mid-2015.
