Shares of Origin Agritech Limited

on Sunday, that the company may be a takeover target for Hunan Xindaxin, as it was in 2014. Hunan Xindaxin bid $2.50 per share in November 2014, but Origin's Board said the offer was not in the best interest of the company. Origin Agritech shares closed at $1.55 Monday, a gain of 46%.

Shares of ConocoPhillips

spiked higher Monday, on unconfirmed marker chatter of a potential bid of $72 to $74 per share from Exxon Mobil Corporation

Spokespersons for ConocoPhillips and Exxon Mobil were not available for comment. ConocoPhillips shares lost $0.61 Monday, closing at $63.23.

ClubCorp

announced Monday, an agreement to acquire a multi-club portfolio of six golf clubs from Stratford Golf Partners and Accord Golf Capital for around $44 million. The sellers are and the acquisition will be funded from existing liquidity. The clubs are located in North Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Virginia and Tennessee. ClubCorp shares lost $0.10% Monday, closing at $18.50.
