US Stock Futures Signal Higher Start On Wall Street

US stock futures traded higher in early pre-market trade. The U.S. Treasury monthly budget report for February will be released at 2:00 p.m. ET. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average surged 58 points to 17,724.00, while the Standard & Poor's 500 index futures rose 8.40 points to 2,050.30. Futures for the Nasdaq 100 index climbed 14 points to 4,345.25.
A Peek Into Global Markets
European markets were mostly higher today, with the Spanish Ibex Index rising 1.17%, STOXX Europe 600 Index surging 1.44% and German DAX 30 index gaining 1.86%. French CAC 40 Index climbed 1.91% and London's FTSE 100 Index fell 0.24%. In Asian markets, Japan's Nikkei Stock Average rose 0.31%, Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index dropped 0.75%, China's Shanghai Composite Index gained 0.15% and India's BSE Sensex fell 0.18%.
