World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc.WWE
rallied on news that the number of subscribers to its WWE Network grew 36 percent since September 30. The company changed hands recently at $12.60, up more than 20 percent. World Wrestling said subscribers to the service
surpassed one million
Tuesday. That's up 36 percent from the 731,359 monthly paid subscribers the company has posted as of September 30. The WWE Network segment generated $22.4 million of the company's $120.2 million for the third quarter ended September 30, when new subscription revenue more than offset a decline in pay-per-view revenue. World Wresting Entertainment is expected to post a loss of $0.08 a share on sales of $135.42 million when it reveals fourth-quarter results February 12.
