The AFLCMC is one of five centers under the Air Force Materiel Command and is the single center responsible for total life-cycle management of Air Force weapon systems. Under the contract, Leidos will develop a software-only capability that meets the legacy requirements and provides improvements to the user interface and operational capability using Agile development processes. UC2 Operations is a suite of tools deployed within fixed and expeditionary bases for Command and Control (C2) at the wing and squadron level. Leidos will provide open standards and open architecture solutions offering improved access to authoritative data, along with Agile software development processes to rapidly respond to operator formal and derived requirements as well as full interoperability with other Air Force C2 systems. "This strategic win offers further validation that our differentiated technology position, combined with passionate mission-focused domain expertise, positions Leidos to deliver capability to the warfighter quickly and at great value to the Air Force," said Leidos Group President John Fratamico.
