Netflix To Get 1.2 Million New Viewers In U.K.

Netflix, Inc. NFLX will gain about 1.2 million U.K. viewers with a roll-out to TalkTalk PLC customers this month.

Netflix, which expects to post fourth-quarter results January 20, has about 53 million members in nearly 50 countries.

TalkTalk, which trades on the London stock exchange under the symbol TALK, provides broadband and telephone services to about four million customers in the U.K.

Netflix launched in the U.K. and Ireland in January 2012 and has touted international expansion during recent quarters.

In the period ended September 30, Netflix's paid international memberships increased 78 percent to 14.4 million from a year earlier, although international expansion costs have weighed on earnings.

Netflix changed hands recently at $318.03, down more than 3 percent.
