Fiat Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne Indicates Company Is On Track

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV FCAU CEO Sergio Marchionne confirmed Monday that the automaker is not making any changes to its 2014 guidance and that its five-year plan is on course.

Bloomberg also reported Monday that the company is continuing to expand the Alfa Romeo brand. “With a plan to roll out eight new models by 2018, including two SUVs, the brand is seeking to increase sales more than fivefold to 400,000 cars. The expansion will come mainly from China and North America,” according to the report.

Marchionne also confirmed that the company will expand its Windsor Assembly Plant in Windsor, Ontario. Additional details are expected later on Monday as Marchionne addresses the media at Detroit's North American International Auto Show.

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles recently traded at $11.98, up 1 percent.
