These Companies Will Share A New $185 Million Army Corps Of Engineers Contract

The Department of Defense announced seven separate defense contracts Thursday, worth at least $293.1 million in total.

The largest of these new awards by dollar value went to a group of nine separate companies -- three of which are, according to S&P Capital IQ, subsidiaries of publicly-traded corporations. Six more are either privately-held or listed only overseas.

The $185 million "cost-plus-fixed-fee order dependent multiple award indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity task order contract" will permit these nine firms to bid against each other on separate tasks, where their assistance is required to support the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers on toxic, hazardous and radioactive waste remediation projects.

Work under this contract will continue through January 7, 2020.

The three publicly traded firms whose subsidiaries won the right to bid on these projects are:
